One Wall Controller. Multiple Rooms. Simple, Intuitive Control.
Multi-zone audio does not always mean that every room needs its own wall controller.
With AmpVortex NetWall-1, a single physical wall controller can be configured to control multiple audio zones simultaneously, making it particularly useful for open-plan homes, villas, suites, hospitality spaces and other areas where several audio zones need to operate together.
The configuration is handled through the AmpVortex Wall Controller Config software, allowing installers to define exactly which zones each NetWall-1 should control — and even assign meaningful room names that are displayed directly on the NetWall-1 LCD.
Configure Multiple Zones from One NetWall-1
Using AmpVortex Wall Controller Config, the installer can assign more than one AmpVortex audio zone to a single NetWall-1.
For example, one controller could be configured to control:
Living Room + Dining Room + Kitchen
Instead of adjusting these three zones individually, the user can operate them together directly from one physical wall controller.
This makes NetWall-1 particularly useful where multiple audio zones form one functional space.
In a residential installation, this could be an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. In a hospitality project, it could be several connected areas within a suite, lounge, restaurant or other shared space.
Give Every Zone a Real Room Name
Zone numbers may make sense to an installer, but they are not always intuitive for the end user.
That is why AmpVortex Wall Controller Config also allows room names to be assigned during configuration.
Instead of presenting the system simply as:
Zone 1 / Zone 2 / Zone 3
the installer can use meaningful names such as:
Living Room / Dining Room / Kitchen
This makes the physical control interface much easier to understand, especially in larger multi-zone installations.
See the Controlled Rooms Directly on the LCD
The room naming is not limited to the configuration software.
The NetWall-1 LCD can display the names of the rooms currently being controlled, giving the user immediate visual confirmation of which areas are included in the control group.
For example, if the NetWall-1 has been configured to operate the Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen together, those room names can be shown on the controller itself.
This is particularly important in a multi-zone system because the user does not need to remember which zone numbers have been assigned to the controller.
The interface tells them directly.
One Controller for a Group of Rooms
This capability creates a much more flexible approach to physical control.
A NetWall-1 does not have to represent only one amplifier channel or one audio zone. It can instead represent a logical group of spaces defined according to how the building is actually used.
For example:
Application | NetWall-1 Control Group |
Open-plan residence | Living + Dining + Kitchen |
Master suite | Bedroom + Bathroom + Dressing Room |
Villa | Living + Dining + Terrace |
Restaurant | Main Dining + Private Dining |
Hotel lounge | Lounge + Bar |
Outdoor area | Terrace + Garden |
This allows the physical control layer to follow the user experience, rather than forcing the user to think about the technical structure behind the audio system.
Simple for the User, Flexible for the Integrator
The key idea behind NetWall-1 is simple:
The installer defines the control logic. The user simply uses the wall controller.
Through AmpVortex Wall Controller Config, the integrator can configure the appropriate zones and room names for each controller.
Once configured, the user does not need to open a configuration interface or understand the underlying zone architecture. The NetWall-1 provides straightforward physical control, while its LCD provides clear feedback about the rooms being controlled.
This makes the same controller suitable for everything from a single-room installation to more complex multi-zone environments.
Designed for Real Multi-Zone Spaces
Modern audio systems are increasingly integrated into the architecture of a building.
A large living space may contain several audio zones. A hotel suite may include a bedroom, bathroom and living area. A restaurant may have multiple adjacent seating areas. A villa may extend music from indoor spaces onto a terrace or pool area.
These spaces may be technically separate zones, but users often want to control them as one.
NetWall-1 makes that possible from a simple physical interface.
With multi-zone assignment, customizable room naming and LCD room display, AmpVortex gives integrators the flexibility to build physical controls around the way people actually use their spaces.
