Recently, the AmpVortex team officially announced that all models of its products have been fully upgraded to synchronously adapt to the latest version of Qobuz Connect SDK, v1.1.0. Focusing on optimizing functional stability and fixing vulnerabilities, this upgrade further enhances the user audio experience and provides more reliable integration support for partners.
It is reported that the core of this product upgrade revolves around the adaptation of Qobuz Connect SDK v1.1.0. The entire process requires no additional operations from partners or users, no need to reapply for certification, and no need to modify relevant credentials. This greatly reduces the adaptation cost, achieves “seamless upgrade”, and ensures that existing usage scenarios are not affected.
As the core support for this upgrade, Qobuz Connect SDK v1.1.0 focuses on fixing a number of key vulnerabilities in the previous version, while optimizing interface functions and adding practical features to protect the audio functions of AmpVortex products. The core upgrade highlights include three major sections:
Core Vulnerability Fixes to Strengthen Operational Foundation
The focus of this SDK adaptation is to solve potential operational abnormalities and further improve product stability: it fixes the crash vulnerability caused by assertion when using libcurl ≥ 8.6.0, avoiding usage impacts due to dependency library compatibility issues; it resolves the crash hidden danger when processing delayed audio source state change notifications, optimizing the fluency of audio playback; it fixes synchronization issues related to seeking, abnormal audio quality switching issues, and playback error crash issues when processing a large number of commands, while correcting the deviation in the execution order of callback functions, comprehensively avoiding operational risks.
Interface and Function Optimization to Improve Adaptation Flexibility
In terms of interface and function adjustments, SDK v1.1.0 renames playback_controls_changed_callback to playback_mode_changed_callback, optimizing the adaptability between interface naming and functional logic; at the same time, it replaces the deprecated gettimeofday calls with clock_gettime, further improving the compatibility of the product with various environments and reducing potential operational hidden dangers.
In addition, this upgrade adds two practical features: a new interface qbz_connect_{get,set}_audio_download_buffer_size, which supports the integration layer to flexibly adjust the size of the download buffer for encoded data to adapt to different usage scenario requirements; two optional parameters, certificate_bundle_path and certificate_directory_path, are added to QbzDeviceInfo, allowing the integration layer to override the default values of libcurl and improve the flexibility of certificate configuration.
Kind Reminder and Follow-up Support
The AmpVortex team reminds that currently Qobuz official applications are still compatible with SDK versions v0.9.5 and above. However, to avoid various abnormalities caused by vulnerabilities in the old version and ensure stable functional operation, the team has disabled version v0.9.5 in all models of products and uniformly adapted to the latest version v1.1.0. It is also recommended that partners upgrade the SDK synchronously to ensure smooth collaborative operation.
A relevant person in charge of AmpVortex stated that this full-model upgrade and SDK adaptation is an important measure for the team to deepen product experience and improve service support. In the future, AmpVortex will continue to pay attention to industry technological iterations and user needs, continuously optimize product functions, improve operational stability, and provide partners and users with more high-quality and reliable products and services.
